President's Message

My name is Jack Kishk and I serve as the President of the FBI New York Citizens Academy Alumni Association, an organization dedicated to fostering a better understanding between local communities and law enforcement agencies.

The world can seem like a dangerous place. We all hear stories about the increase in crime rates, mass shootings, and terrorist attacks around the world. The nightly news reports are enough to make you want to lock your doors and never speak to another neighbor. The general lack of understanding of how law enforcement agencies actually serve communities leads to unnecessary distrust and hesitation to reach out to those who can actually help in times of crisis.

When real world issues further isolate us from each other, the FBINYCAAA offers a way to deal with those concerns by engaging community members and law enforcement agencies and working together to face the uncertainty around us. Our organization seeks to tear down barriers by educating both communities and those who serve them and fostering a better understanding on both sides. We bring the necessary parties together to find solutions to community problems. The more familiar we become with those around us, the greater the chance of knowing who to call in times of need.

The programs we sponsor range from events on cybercrime, human trafficking, community policing, and the impact of national security issues.

We know there are often no easy solutions to complex problems; but the more we learn about the world around us, the greater the chance of success when problems are tackled together. While we are actively involved in a host of diverse issues in communities around the country, we are always on the lookout for ways to better connect with the people we serve. Please let us know if you have suggestions for how we can expand our outreach.
